“This uphill hole often plays longer than it looks, with its fairway sloping from right to left the tee shot needs to be on the right half of the fairway to avoid the left-hand rough. In Winter 2006 a new fairway bunker was added on the right, and the left hand bunker was remodelled into 2 smaller bunkers - this work places a premium on tee shot accuracy for the longer hitters. A blind second shot hides the bunker short left of the green so any shot running onto the green needs to come from the right half of the fairway.”
