Professional's Tip

“The opening hole to this lovely heathland course is one of its toughest. Long and straight with bunkers strategically placed. The existing drive bunker is now too short for the longer hitters so an additional bunker has been added on the right at approx. 290 yards from the medal tee. Tree and gorse plantings were added in Winter 2006, to the right of the approach. The opening tee shot should ideally be aimed at the Northampton lift tower that can be seen on the horizon.”
