Professional's Tip

“This is a great hole to finish on and many a match changes hands on this hole. There is trouble the full length of this narrow par 5. With trees and bushes on both sides and bunkers ready to catch every shot - and all the time you know there is an audience watching you from the club house veranda, just a few yards behind the green. New trees and gorse have been planted to the left and between the eighteenth and first fairways narrowing the fairway at the corner of the dogleg. The entrance to the green was narrowed in the 2007 changes giving the player going for the green in two a little more to think about.”
